Kenya’s state-run Nuclear Power and Energy Agency (NuPEA) has announced plans to initiate a comprehensive educational campaign.
This initiative comes in response to local protests against a proposed nuclear power plant. The plant is slated for construction in Siaya County, situated on the shores of Lake Victoria.
NuPEA aims for the campaign to be “robust, transparent, and multi-layered” in its approach to addressing community concerns. The proposed facility represents Kenya’s first nuclear power plant.
