Corrections Policy

EcoNxt is committed to maintaining accurate and reliable environmental information.

When we become aware of a material factual error in our published content, we aim to review and correct it promptly.

What We Correct

Corrections may be made when published content contains a material error involving:

  • Facts, figures, or statistics
  • Names, organizations, or locations
  • Dates or timelines
  • Scientific or technical information
  • Environmental regulations or policy details
  • Source attribution
  • Calculator formulas, assumptions, units, or methodology

Minor Updates

Minor edits that do not change the meaning of an article, such as spelling, grammar, formatting, or readability improvements, may be made without a formal correction notice.

Material Corrections

When a significant factual error could materially affect a reader’s understanding of a topic, we aim to correct the information and, where appropriate, clearly indicate that the content has been updated.

The nature and visibility of a correction may depend on the significance of the error and the type of content involved.

Updates to Developing Stories

Environmental news, scientific research, regulations, and policy developments can change as new information becomes available.

Updating an article to reflect legitimate new developments is not necessarily a correction. Where appropriate, articles may be revised or expanded to provide readers with more current information.

Calculator and Tool Corrections

EcoNxt also reviews reported issues involving its sustainability calculators and technical tools.

If a formula, conversion, calculation method, assumption, or technical implementation is found to contain an error, we aim to investigate the issue and update the tool where necessary.

How to Report an Error

Readers are encouraged to tell us if they believe information published on EcoNxt is inaccurate.

Please email contact@econxt.com and include, where possible:

  • The URL of the relevant article, page, or calculator
  • The information you believe is incorrect
  • The reason you believe a correction is needed
  • A reliable supporting source, if available

We will review credible correction requests and make changes where appropriate.

Our Commitment

Accuracy is an ongoing responsibility. We aim to correct meaningful errors rather than leave information online when we know it is inaccurate.
