Young Birders’ Month (YBM) is returning for its second edition in November, aiming to engage children across India in birdwatching. This initiative, led by Early Bird (Nature Conservation Foundation) in partnership with WWF-India, seeks to foster curiosity about nature.
Birds serve as an accessible entry point to understanding biodiversity, migration, adaptation, and ecological relationships. The program is expanding its reach to schools, colleges, and underserved regions. It also includes a Wild Paths webinar series for older students interested in conservation careers and a Campus Bird Day for college students to document local bird diversity.
Nature educators, schools, and birding clubs can host events by submitting them on youngbirders.in/host-events/. Interested children and young people can find and register for events on youngbirders.in/events/. Multilingual training and resources are available for educators.
