Southern India is bracing for heavy to very heavy rainfall following the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon. Orange alerts have been issued for Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka due to intense showers, with potential for flash floods and waterlogging.
Regions including Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Odisha, and Telangana may experience thunderstorms and strong winds. Meanwhile, Delhi and its surrounding areas can expect cloudy skies and light showers with gusty winds reaching up to 50 kmph.
Despite these warnings, some parts of the country, like Konkan and Goa, continue to experience hot and humid weather. Maximum temperatures in several states have been reported as above normal.
