Fuel required per tonne of steam is calculated using the same heat balance on a 1,000 kg steam basis.
Heating value and boiler efficiency should use a consistent HHV or LHV basis.
This calculator assumes steady operation and uses a simplified feedwater enthalpy approximation. For high-accuracy steam-system analysis, use steam-table enthalpy for both the steam and feedwater states.
