This calculator assumes delivered airflow changes approximately in proportion to the entered average load factor. Real compressor performance can differ significantly at part load, particularly for load/unload and fixed-speed compressors.
For a detailed compressed-air assessment, use measured compressor power and measured free-air delivery over the same operating period whenever possible. Leakage, inappropriate uses, pressure losses, dryers and ancillary equipment can materially increase the total system cost.
