How it is calculated:
Backup energy = backup load × backup hours.
The calculator then accounts for a 90% inverter efficiency,
the selected battery efficiency and usable depth of discharge.
Required Ah is calculated from the resulting battery energy and selected battery-bank voltage.
Final system design should also verify peak load, surge current, battery discharge limits and solar recharge capacity.
