Natural gas, LPG, petrol and diesel are converted to consistent physical or energy units before emissions are calculated. Aviation uses passenger-distance factors and includes a radiative-forcing uplift. This calculator covers operational energy and travel emissions. It does not estimate embodied emissions from food, products, services or infrastructure.
