These vital ecosystems are home to at least half of all known plant and animal species. They play a critical role in regulating rainfall patterns and stabilizing the Earth’s climate. Achieving conservation goals necessitates a substantial reduction in deforestation.
To meet the 2030 target, global deforestation rates must be nearly halved. This significant reduction is essential for preserving the invaluable services these forests provide to both nature and humanity.
